At Mia’s Brooklyn Bakery, we serve up graciousness and are happy to put the needs of our guests first. We are attentive and accommodating to our guests and to each other. We work diligently with a dedication to quality at our core.

We are looking for an experienced Cashier & Barista to join our team and help create delicious treats for our bakery and café. The ideal candidate will have experience cash-handling and will be able to work independently and as part of a team, have a keen eye for detail, and be able to handle the pressure of a busy store.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work well in a busy environment
• High energy and engaging personality
• Professional demeanor
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (8+ hours per day)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities:

• Ensure a positive customer experience by providing courteous, friendly, efficient and attentive customer service
• Can fill in for servers if needed
• Arrive to work promptly and in full uniform on your scheduled work days
• Ensure that product being sold is presentable
• Make sure customers are being taken care of
• Treat each customer with kindness and respect at all times
• Answer telephone calls with excellent phone etiquette
• Be an expert in our products and be able to explain them to customers
• Package, weigh and price all baked goods
• Ask every customer if they would like to receive a receipt with their purchase
• Follow our cash handling procedures when using the POS to process customer orders
• Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices
• Ensure that all shelves and displays are properly stocked
• Operating and sanitize all Bakery equipment in a safe and proper manner
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
