The Street Tots: Juneteenth Storytime with Story Starters
Outdoor activities your little ones will love. Join us on The Green a Juneteenth story time and activity session with Story Starters. Local author Candelaria Norma Silva will be sharing reading aloud her stories inspired by the large, loving, close-knit extended family she grew up with in St. Louis, Missouri and her living and rearing her children in Boston, Massachusetts.
About Story Starters:
Story Starters equips families and educators with strategies to develop young children’s anti-racist values and ability to disrupt racism in their daily lives. We envision a country where families, schools, and communities embrace the responsibility to proactively teach children to understand race and racism and where race-brave adults raise their children to demand equity and justice in the communities where they learn, live, and play.
Registration is required for The Street Tots events. Download The Street Insider app (it’s free to join!) for first access to tickets. One ticket covers one child. Caregivers and infants do not need tickets. Thank you! Ticket proceeds will benefit Newton Youth Collaborative Services.
