This Nantucket-based barre studio is set to join the
health and wellness scene on The Street.
Chestnut Hill’s swanky retail and dining hotspot, The Street, can soon count a new Forme Barre studio among its growing number of health and fitness spots.
Hailing from Nantucket, Forme Barre will be opening this spring alongside the existing Barry’s Bootcamp, Yogaworks, Juice Press, Lululemon, Legit Activewear, and a Peloton location, coming soon to the Chestnut Hill locale. We’re starting to get FitRow, Assembly Row’s fitness concept, vibes.
Forme Barre incorporates ballet, Pilates, and strength training into each one of its signature 60-minute Forme Method classes. Promising to strengthen and condition every body at any fitness level, The Forme Method is a type of barre method using isometric holds (think: engaging your muscles in place until you, quite literally, feel the burn), light weights, and plenty of stretching.
“Having grown up just around the corner from The Street, it has been nothing short of amazing to watch the transformation of this area in recent years,” Christina Schwefel, Forme Barre owner, said in a press release. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to open a Forme Barre in this remarkable development and to continue to see many of our seasonal Nantucket clients year-round.”
As for The Street, Forme Barre is exactly what their devoted fitness clientele is looking for.
‘We are really excited to bring a piece of Nantucket to The Street with the arrival of Forme Barre,” Alana Frey, General Manager of The Street, said in a release. “As a go-to studio in the summer for many fitness enthusiasts in our community, we find Forme Barre to be the perfect fit for the property and an excellent addition to our health and wellness options and locally-owned businesses.”
