Sales Associate — WHEAT (Full or Part-Time)

Role Description:

We are looking for part or full time Sales Asociates to join The WHEAT Company retail destination located in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. This candidate is expected to be a strong representation of WHEAT’s company values, standards, and organization. The candidate will also be passionate about luxury fashion and have a deep knowledge of the brands we work with, along with a range of Fine Jewelry & Luxury Handbag brands. In addition, the ideal candidate will be able to provide exceptional customer service and educate guests on MAISON WHEAT, our own clothing collection that includes luxury lifestyle apparel, candles, and fragrances, all made in the USA. The candidate must be able to work independently and be willing to problem solve. Visual skills are not required, but are a plus point as this position requires routine communication with the Visual Merchandising team.

Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Greet and interact with guests and provide exemplary customer service
• Educate guests about brands we carry such as Zimmerman, Citizens of Humanity, Nili Lotan, Sablyn, and any other products in the store
• Utilize POS system; handle cash, exchanges and returns.
• Utilize Microsoft Office platforms for team communication
• Assist in the daily operations of the store, including restocking, cleaning, organizing and merchandising
• Respond to guest concerns
• Handle custom sales (guests may call in to place a special order)
• Effective team player abilities to support other team members
• Learn, understand and adhere to company policy, procedures and standards
• Provide daily feedback to your leadership team which includes but is not limited to; detailed daily opening and end of shift emails.
• Maintain Visual Merchandising standards daily
• Perform other tasks assigned by store manager

Skills and Qualifications:

• Should be passionate about high end fashion as well as promoting the luxury lifestyle and culture
• 2 years or more of proven work experience as a Retail Sales Associate or similar role
• Strong customer service experience
• Cash Handling experience
• Understanding of the retail sales process (greeting, assisting, and checking out guests in store)
• Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
• Track daily sales and accurately count high dollar inventory on hand
• Excellent communication skills, with strong capability to building relationships
• Ability to perform solo in a small boutique atmosphere
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and nights as needed
• BA in Fashion, Merchandizing, or related field not required, but is a plus.
